Description:
The Peltier cell is in contact on one side with an aluminium fin to be immersed in hot water, and on the other side with a tray to be filled with ice or cold water. The temperature difference produces a potential difference that can be drawn at the terminals, capable of running a small electric motor. Conversely, by applying a potential difference (max. 12V) to the terminals, a considerable temperature difference is established between the two faces of the ceramic block due to the Peltier effect.
