HP PRIME Graphic Calculator

Description:

HPPRIME is a feature-rich calculator with a large 3.5-inch diagonal multi-touch display and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can be recharged via the PC's USB connection or a standard AC wall socket. Students can easily switch between displaying symbolic, graphical and numerical tables with dedicated buttons or explore mathematical concepts with dynamic geometry, CAS, advanced graphics and spreadsheet applications. RPN and programmable functions save time and keystrokes, and intermediate results can be displayed while working. HP Equation Writer supports solving multiple linear and non-linear equations. HP Solve is a time-saving application for storing equations and solving variables. Teachers can turn the calculator into a test tool with the test mode configuration that makes only pre-approved functions available.
As one of the first graphing calculators, the HP Prime offers a 3.5-inch multi-touch colour screen, which means that all functions can be activated by touching the screen. Advantages: graphs or tables can be moved for further analysis with a simple flick of the finger, without the tedious navigation via control keys; touching the screen in all directions allows geometric constructions to be realised as on a drawing sheet; the calculator keys are supplemented by menu fields at the bottom of the display that are displayed according to context.
The HP Prime has a clear operating concept consisting of three basic components, which can be opened with the Math (Home), CAS (Computer Algebra System) and Apps keys.
With Examination Mode, students' devices can be quickly returned to their initial state, or only show certain permitted functions for examinations. The teacher defines the examination time, angle and password (not visible), with which he can terminate examination mode early. In addition, he/she can deactivate specific applications of the calculator, e.g. arithmetic units or CAS. In addition, certain mathematical functions in detail, e.g. all trigonometric functions, hyperbolic functions, etc., can be disabled.
