Mobile devices in the classroom: to the benefit or detriment of learning?
Following the third wave of the global Covid-19 pandemic, some European countries are considering suspending the use of smartphones in the classroom by students. The causes have been identified as a decline in attention, performance and learning difficulties.
While the misuse, indeed the abuse, of these devices is unquestionably harmful, their indispensability is evident, especially in times of forced distance learning. Technology thus becomes indispensable for the continuation of teaching, but it is equally indispensable to educate children towards a correct digital education.
