This series of Crest Audio amplifiers has a tradition of great sound quality, flexibility and reliability. Industry-standard connectors and features make the CPX an excellent mainstay for mobile sound systems, project studios and many other applications. Musicians and DJs will also find the CPX the power amplifier of choice The CPX amplifiers are available in four models: CPX 1, CPX 2, CPX 3 and CPX 4. The power capabilities of the CPX1 range from 290 Watts to 960 Watts. CPX amplifiers are capable of driving loads from 2 to 8 ohms in stereo or 4 ohms in bridge. With a comprehensive feature set, including built-in signal limiting, low-pass filters and low-frequency crossovers with direct outputs, the CPX line addresses a variety of applications and is a low-cost solution for most power amplifier needs.

The unique GCL™ (Gain Comparator Limiting) system monitors the input/output gain and reduces the signal in case of distortion or excessively high current conditions. It protects the loudspeakers from dangerous transients and unexpected level variations. Operation is transparent, but very effective for the purpose for which it was designed.
